Massive props to students Otilia Dobrea and Glen Hansen from the Miami Ad School for this fantastic concept (Virgin: Book Holidays By Weather Forecast). Virgin Book by Weather from Otilia Dobrea on Vimeo. For students this is incredibly realistic and commercially aware, which makes it all the more brilliant. Just wait for Branson to pick [...]
Probably the most innovative banner concept I’ve seen in a long time. The banner literally carries your files across the web to your chosen recipient, and to demonstrate the carrying potential of this van, it allows you to transfer up files up to 2GB in size right through the banner! In less than a month, [...]
All the hard work finally paid off! The Nintendo 3DS Launch campaign that I helped create won a Gold in the design category and a nomination in the digital category just missing out to the Old Spice ‘Smell like a man, man’. Now I hate losing out but it was a nice idea well executed. [...]
What a fantastically simple yet effective idea… To highlight the product’s ‘energy-boosting’ properties, Vitamin Water mounted battery-powered USB ports into bus-shelters so commuters can charge their phones, iPods and gaming devices, while they wait for the bus. Bravo Crispin Porter + Bogusky
This is possibly the greatest viral video I have ever had the pleasure to watch (and share). Not just because it stars the irreplaceable Kenny Powers, but that from a creative marketing perspective it ticks all the boxes: It’s engaging, funny, on target, product focused and above all has a massive talkability factor. All that’s [...]
Nice to see a bit of originality in projection mapping after all the same, same large format projections. It’s also good to see another Xbox Kinect being put to good use… And all in real time. Nice! Chase No Face / BELL from Francisco Zamorano on Vimeo.
Is this the future of of the catwalk? Will Kate Moss be forced into ‘early’ retirement in favour of a ‘sim’? Maybe not but this is pretty bloody cool anyway.
Came across this gem today. Be Your Own Souvenir! from blablabLAB on Vimeo. The way this was done is pretty dam amazing. The public pose for three hacked Xbox Kinects, are digitised, triangulated, then reprapped (printed on a 3D printer). Then they take get to take away a personal model of themselves. I first saw [...]
Very clever use of user generated content. Click any point on the map to listen to contributions from users. The videos can be played simultaneously — or together, any way you play them they make an anarchic yet beautiful music track! You can even adjust volume sliders to make different mixes. Love it :)
Still can’t believe I have only just come across this. For me this is what digital is all about; innovative, sharable thinking that allows users to create and achieve. I’m just sorry I didn’t get to take part. Make sure you watch the making of videos… Really cool!
